MLH FIS ch. 6

A little while after the nightmare imp troop had attacked, Twilight and the others walked up to Sonic and Tails. "Can somepony please tell me what just happened?!" she snapped. "How did you do that?" Sonic scratched his head confused. "What? All I did was give you guys the right to defend yourselves." He crossed his arms. "If what the Princess said is true, then you need to step up and fight. And I'm gonna help."

Rainbow Dash zipped up next to twilight. "Yeah Twilight. It's time we start kicking butt and taking names!" she boasted while doing fake karate kicks. "Their both right Twi." Applejack interjected. "Besides, them soldiers have been a pain in the patotee." The purple unicorn thought about this, but was not sure of this. "Look, I want them gone as much as the next pony, but we don't even know how much we're up against. More may come to find out why that troop has gone missing." "So that's why we need to fight back, and soon get to the root of it all, Nightmare Moon." Tails interrupted.

Fluttershy piped up. "Um… we do have some time, so uh… maybe you can show us what to do." "Well it's obvious, ain't it?" Applejack said. "We just gotta buck'em down." she said while kicking hard with her hind legs to drive her point across. "Well, that's a good place to start." Sonic pointed out. " We just have to get all the others to join in." " But how can we convince everypony else to do that?" Twilight asked. "We just have to show them we all have a chance ofstanding up for ourselves." said Pinkie. Everyone stared at her bewildered. Pinkie shrugged. "What? I can be serious too, can't I?"

Now would be the time to put their plan into action, for as soon as Pinkie finished her sentence, more commotion was heard, similar to earlier. "Come on, now's the time." yelled Sonic, and they went to see what it was. A troop of robots was breaking and destroying things as well. Sonic was shocked to see this. "Dude are you kidding me? He's here too?" "Wait, who's here?" Twilight asked. The robots notices them and get in attack formation. "I'll explain later, we have to attack now." Sonic said. He run up to a robot and gave it a backflip kick that sent it flying.

Applejack ran up as well. "Come on girls, let's buck the cider out of these things!" and she gave a hard buck to the robot's head. "Aw yeah!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash as she zipped around in the air, kicking at the robots. "Are you all seeing this? This is so awesome!" Twilight used her magic to pick one up and throw it at a bundle of them like bowling pins. Pinkie sat back making sound effects and waving her hooves wildly. Rarity refused to fight as she thought she would chip a hoof. Fluttershy trembled as she watched the others hold out against the robots.

Sonic performed a homing attack on the last one and sent it sailing in to woods. He landed, breathing hard, and looked back to see how the others were. He was relived to see they were alright. He also noticed they had a few onlookers. Actually it was all of Ponyville. They looked in awe at the group. Suddenly, a light brown earth pony with glasses came out and trotted up to them. "Excuse me, I'm Mayor Mare. Did you fight off these metal monstrosities?" "Yes." "And did you also defeat the nightmare soldiers from before?" Sonic scratched his head. "Uh, yeah." Mayor Mare suddenly started shaking his hand rapidly. "Oh thank you! Thank you! We were just about to give up hope until you came along." Sonic got dizzy after letting go.

She turned to the crowd with her forehoof around his shoulder. "Citizens of Ponyville!" she addressed. "For to long we have been cowering in fear at the hoof of Nightmare Moon's forces! But at last, pony or not, we have someone to inspire courage into us all. This group here shows that we have the strength, that we have a chance to defend ourselves and defeat this evil!" All the ponies began cheering, moved by these words.

Twilight was not so sure. "But Ms. Mare, with the troops taken out, Nightmare is sure to notice. She may even send a whole army to attack us." she said worried. "It's ok." the Mayor piped. "I will have everypony capable of fighting preped and ready. I'll also have pegusas ponies patrol the skies to alert us of any signs of an army. We may not have that much time so let's get to it!" And everyone rushed to their positions. Mayor Mare chuckled to herself. "Neet! I've always wanted to command an Army."
